Service Overview

The gastroenterology advice and guidance service is able to provide advice regarding all types of luminal gastroenterology (ie. anything bowel related). Please do not send advice requests regarding hepatology to this service, a separate Hepatology A&G service is available.

NBT poster on the advice & guidance service.

Advice & Guidance requests are not processed by the BRS. All requests should be submitted directly to the Gastroenterology Advice & Guidance Service using e-Referral.

Should you have any questions or would like to raise any issues, please contact BRS in the first instance on 0117 900 2566.

PRIME - You may also like to consider the PRIME community gastroenterology service as alternative to secondary care referral. This service is run by experienced GPSIs and can see patients with a range of gastroenterology problems. Exclusions do apply - see link for details.
